Manufacturing Technician
We’re on the lookout for a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing production team in our Glasgow based HQ!
Work predominantly in Glazing department, executing defined procedures in our manufacturing line to accurately produce glasses to British Standards
Operate and monitor our Glazing machinery and help develop efficient ways of working within our team
Carry out adjustments, repairs and perform Refresh techniques for our customers frames and lenses
Order from suppliers when required, and track these orders to ensure lead times are met
Work effectively in an organised manner to ensure orders can be sent to our customers on time
Pick inventory including trays, lenses, frames and all other accessoriesYou will undertake ad-hoc duties across all areas of the workshop department during peak operational periods
We’ll give you the tools to be equipped to truly play your part in the workshop's day to day tasks
Previous optical and glazing experience essential
Contribute effectively to a team working environment but also have the ability and confidence to work on an individual basis
A motivated and focused individual, who can effectively communicate with a variety of people
You thrive in a busy environment, enjoy responsibility, and take pride in what you do
You have a great work ethic
You enjoy working in a fast paced environment
As a Real Living Wage employer, the minimum you will be paid is £12 p/h. This will be dependent on experience.
